PLUMBING DRAFTSMAN / CAD DESIGNER
In-house draftsman/designer needed to create detailed construction drawings that are optimized for cost-effective installation and dimensioned installation drawings for field use. Create prefabrication manual isometric drawings for the use in pre-fabrication of plumbing systems. Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing material required and ability to read and interpret Plumbing Codes. Knowledge of how real world plumbing systems are installed. Prefer Field Journeyman-level knowledge.
PROJECT MANAGER (PM)
Project Manager directly responsible to the Senior Project Manager for coordinating and scheduling all phases of engineering, and for the technical specifications necessary to acquire equipment and materials and the technical bid evaluations to procure equipment. This is the highest level and is applicable to major projects involving a staff of Project Managers. CAPM certificate is required and PMP is highly preferred.
This position requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience in managing construction projects and BS/BA degree in Engineering/Construction Management or 1 year experience and MS degree in Engineering/Construction Management. Experience in Residential Plumbing/Mechanical projects is an advantage.
The Foreman must be able to represent AMPAM Parks Mechanical in a professional manner and be able to communicate clearly with the representatives from contractor, other trades and building officials. Have a good understanding of all phases for the installation of a complete plumbing system which includes ground works, the rough and finish phases.
Be familiar with local building codes and be able to ensure that the work is in compliance with all applicable codes. Be able to interpret plans and specifications for the assigned projects. Be able to organize the work force to ensure that the work is completed on time and within the assigned project budget. Be able to anticipate material needs and ensure that they are ordered in a timely manner.
Maintain the time keeping records of the work force and have those records to the HR Department in the time specified to meet payroll. Be able to complete all administrative reports as required.
The Foreman must have the OSHA 10 hour construction certification and ensure that his crew and the job site are in compliance with all safety standards including Cal OSHA, local regulations and safety standards established by the contractor. The foreman is also responsible for evaluating the injuries of his employees, sending them to the clinic if required and completing all related reports.
Looking for experienced new construction plumbers with groundwork, top-out experience who are familiar with copper, gas and waste and have the appropriate tools. Ability to read isometric drawings a plus. Multi-family plumbing experience a big plus.
APRENTICE PLUMBER Unavailable
Apprentice plumber needs to install PVC & copper pipes, gas pipes at new homes construction sites only. Operates Mapp gas canisters or tank to solder copper pipes. Carry hand tools and materials from curb to house. Use stepladder occasionally some shoveling but not too much.
Laborers unload material from delivery trucks & carry material where needed. Laborers carry hand tools from jobsite container to area needed on jobsite and back again at end of day. Laborers will be shoveling and picking on groundwork or helping with installation on top out or finish. Laborers use stepladders as necessary. General tools used by Laborers: Shovels, Picks, Digging Bar, and channel locks.
ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER (APM)
Junior level Project Manager directly responsible to the Project Manager for coordinating all phases of engineering, and provide necessary procurement information to acquire equipment and materials.
HS Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in managing construction projects or BS/BA degree with no prior experience. Experience in Residential Plumbing/Mechanical projects is an advantage. CAPM certificate is highly preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
PROJECT COORDINATOR (PC) Unavailable
Will provide administrative support to the Project Manager, Superintendent and Engineer. Must be able to work independently. Strong computer skills required in Word, Excel, Outlook. Will be responsible for the input of commitment data to the cost reporting system and the preparation of POs, subcontracts, rental agreements and change orders. Will also be involved in job close out procedures.
HS Diploma or Equivalent. Experience in Architectural/Engineering or Construction/Plumbing industry preferred, not required. Significant experience using Word, Excel and Outlook is a must. Must have strong customer service skills. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (SPM) Unavailable
Position requires a minimum of 10+ years experience in residential plumbing/mechanical industry and BS degree in Engineering/Equivalent or 4+ years experience and MS degree in Engineering/Construction Management. The successful candidate will have experience in total project responsibility, including client relationships, cost/schedule and quality. Must possess a track record of increasing project responsibilities. A professional registration or license is preferred (PMP).
Responsible for the overall execution and management of small to medium size engineering and procurement projects including administration of the project schedule, and budget, RFI’s and submittals, change orders, safety performance and technical quality/detail. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required, as well as ability to represent AMPAM to the client in a professional manner. Duties include organizing and planning project activities and motivating, coordinating and directing the project team to meet project objectives.
